Present Interests

Over the last ten to fifteen years, a number of women have criticized the present Roman Lectionary and the closely related Common Lectionary and Revised Common Lectionary for not including more biblical stories of women.

I attempted to respond to this critique and need by preparing a compilation of biblical stories of women and arranging these to correspond with the system of readings used in the three-year lectionaries in common use for Sunday worship. This has been published as:

More recently I have carried out critical studies of the lectionary readings for Lent, Good Friday, and the Easter season and have suggested alternative sets of scripture readings. These are posted as indicated above.
